iLOQ Oy are a multi award-winning Finnish manufacturer who, since their inception in 2003, have established themselves as industry leading innovators of patented energy harvesting technology, offering electronic locking without the need for batteries or cables.
In 2007, iLOQ introduced the world’s first self-powered electromechanical locking system. In this system, power to open or lock the cylinder is harvested from the kinetic energy generated by inserting and turning the key. When the key is inserted into the lock and turned, the motion of the key generates kinetic energy, this energy is then used to power the lock and the RFID system, allowing the key to communicate with the lock and verify the user's access rights.
The iLOQ Manager software also allows you to grant time-restricted access for specific periods of time.
In 2016, Near Field Communication (NFC) technology was integrated into the i-LOQ cylinder. It’s the same technology that allows us to make contactless payments with a card or mobile phone. Another world first under their belt, iLOQ introduced a cylinder that is able to harvest energy for unlocking from a smart phone! So now, we have an access control system that does not require an external power source, batteries or a key.

A vast amount of data can be remotely updated, ensuring that your authorised keyholder list is always up-to-date in real time.
