NFC is at the heart of the iLOQ S50 product family. iLOQ S50 locks generate the required power for confirming access rights and opening from an NFC field created by a key. In this case, the key can be either an Android or Apple smartphone running the iLOQ S50 App.

i-LOQ S50 is the first wireless, key-free electronic locking system in the world, that does not require a battery in the cylinder.

iLOQ Manager includes powerful reporting tools, however, if more extensive data mining or analysis is needed the API tools can be used to export data from iLOQ Manager to other BI software such as Excel, Crystal, Yellow Fin, Power BI etc.

Ease of deployment			iLOQ S50 is easier to deploy and manage as physical credentials such as keys are not required. The credential is sent to a mobile device as a secure SMS message or email.
Maintenance / Weather Proofing			iLOQ S50 cylinders require no maintenance as there is no keyway. This reduces the chances of ingression of debris which may damage the lock mechanism and increases its reliability in the harshest of environments.
Change of Keyholder Access or Lost Key			iLOQ S50 credentials are updated seamlessly via SMS text and do not require intervention or any action from the operative. The credential always holds the most current access profile, time schedule and validity period. Mechanical locks need to be changed to regain security when keys are lost.
Real Time Validation			Although not always required iLOQ S50 cylinders can individually be set to require 'Real Time' validation of the credential before allowing access. This is not possible with mechanical locks and keys.
Real Time Event Reporting			iLOQ S50 credentials report all operations of the cylinder in 'Real Time' whereas Mechatronic keys only updated audit events when the operative updates the key via the App.
Ease of supply			iLOQ S50 cylinders are built unassigned to any system as enrolment is done through iLOQ Manager which then bonds the cylinder to the system. Mechanical cylinders need to be built to specific systems which extends delivery times.
Repurposing			iLOQ cylinders can be reprogrammed to allow them to be relocated to another area of the building or location. The cylinder can be 'factory reset' removing all access profiles and keys. Once a mechanical cylinder is 'master keyed' it can not be repurposed in this way.

iLOQ Key Fob
The iLOQ Key Fob is an easy alternative for users without a compatible phone. Access rights can be updated through a phone via Bluetooth. The iLOQ Key Fob is equipped with a USB rechargeable accumulator.

Programming Token
The Token secures system administration for programming locks and keys.

The iLOQ S50 App and iLOQ Fob App receive access rights instantly and remotely. When not in use, the apps lie dormant in the background not affecting the phone’s battery life.
