The interest for these cabinet systems has only grown in recent years to keep up with modern technological advancements and give facilities management better control over keys.

Recently Safelocking have been supporting a well-known organisation with High-Security requirements to update their key control systems by installing 6 Loxtop Key Cabinets across 3 sites.

As a high security site, there was significant pressure from management to have control and vision of where keys were located. A bespoke cabinet system was needed to fulfil this demand.

The Loxtop cabinets installed range in storage from 50 to 200 keys. This customer requested larger cabinets, so they have the space to add more keys as and when required. Using a combination of a card reader and biometric scanning has reduced the risk of unauthorised entry as well as ensuring access is always auditable.

This means no key can be removed from, or placed into, the cabinets without being first logged onto the system. In addition, the cabinets electronic logbook can be monitored remotely so that facilities staff can locate who was last in possession of a key, and when it was taken.
